Cellared Selection Releases: All’s Well + Ends Well
November 22 - November 24
The Farm will be open Friday (4-9pm), Saturday (12-7pm) and Sunday (12-7pm) with 13 farm-brewed beers (+ our hard seltzer) on draught and multiple options in cans available to go! We have indoor seating, a covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out.
Beginning Friday (11/22), we will be releasing the next two beers in our Cellared Selections. These theatrically named beers were both aged in Weller Bourbon Barrels (hence the All’s Well & Ends Well names). They are another must have from this exclusive series and perfect for sharing with family and friends while celebrating the holidays ahead.
ALL’S WELL (Blonde Saison aged in Weller Barrels, 9%) – To be or not to be? When a true-to-style blonde saison is gently laid to rest in Weller Bourbon (ex-Cabernet) barrels, the answer is a most emphatic “aye”! This noble potion pours a slightly hazy, golden hue, crowned with a delicate white foam. On the nose, sweet honey and honeysuckle entwine with wildflowers, golden raisins, and apples. The bourbon-soaked barrels lend their gifts of caramel, cinnamon, clove, and oak, adding richness to this tapestry of flavors. And lo, as the crisp finish approaches, the hidden strength of the brew (9%) reveals itself, leaving a merry warmth in its wake. A fine performance indeed, worthy of a standing ovation!
ENDS WELL (Dark Saison aged in Weller Barrels, 10.5%) – The second act of this two-part release beckons us to a darker realm. Enter the Dark Saison, also aged in the highly coveted Weller Bourbon (ex-Cabernet) barrels. It is here that this brew undergoes a most wondrous transformation resulting in a deep, rich brown color with a crown of off-white foam. Complex notes unfold — raisins and cranberries, brown sugar and cinnamon, toffee and whiskey — all dancing harmoniously upon the palate. Candied dates and chocolate intermingle, with the oak imparting a lingering warmth. The slight sweetness reveals itself in the finish, akin to a robust red wine. Truly, this is a performance fit for the closing of the curtain!
All seating on the Farm is first come, first served. We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends (if you bring a tent, don’t forget the weights/stakes).
Manor Hill Pizza Trolley will be open all weekend!
(please note the Pizza Trolley may close one hour before farm closes.)
While visiting the farm, be sure to check out our agriculture in action. Our award-winning beers may be our most well-known agricultural product, but our 54-acre working farm has so much more to offer. In fact, the majority of our land is used for agriculture… so you can’t miss it no matter where you are on the farm!
As you enter the farm, on the right side of the driveway, you will see 14 acres of non-GMO corn. Every single beer brewed at Manor Hill uses this corn in its recipe. On the left side of the driveway as you enter you will see our 12-acre cow pasture where we host about 20-25 Black Angus Cattle on the farm from Spring to Fall (there is an additional cattle pasture behind the residence). Directly behind our Taproom, we have a coop with one rooster (Elvis) and approximately 30 egg-laying hens. Next to our chicken coop is our goat enclosure featuring Mary and Gilbert, a mother and son set of Pygmy Goats. Last, but certainly not least, is our array of gardens on the farm that produce various vegetables, fruits, and herbs used in our beer, Trolley pizza, and at our restaurants. Informational signs on the property as well as our staff can answer any questions you have during your visit.
Note that our Pizza Trolley & other food trucks may close one hour before the farm closes. Please check back regularly as this schedule can change as the date approaches.
